Public Sector Show Insights Report

The public sector continues to face significant challenges and its operating environment is becoming increasingly complex. This State of the Public Sector Report sets out to explore how the sector is dealing with these changing circumstances.

The Report presents the findings of exclusive research among those working for and with public services, and case study contributions from local councils and several of our supporting partners, to provide insights into the state of the public sector and the challenges those working for the sector face.

The findings outlined are clear: those helping deliver public services believe that, on balance, the sector is providing quality services and there are lots of examples of how public services are adapting to deliver improved outcomes for their users, customers and the general public. But there are strong headwinds, especially around finances and resources.

While many are not optimistic about whether public services will improve over the next few years, there are plenty of examples of how different parts of the sector are working more efficiently.

We want to help ensure that these types of best practice are shared and adapted by colleagues everywhere.
