The Government Outcomes (GO) Lab was established in 2016 as a new centre of academic excellence for innovative government commissioning, and is a joint partnership between the University of Oxford and HM Government.
The core mission of the GO Lab is to support innovative public sector commissioning to achieve better social outcomes through world class academic research and practitioner engagement.
The GO Lab harnesses expertise from across the University of Oxford and other partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors to enhance the understanding and existing research on outcome based commissioning. It also builds on the evidence base to evaluate the effectiveness of this model versus alternatives and to support local authorities that are developing and implementing an outcomes-based approach.
