Julian David is the CEO of techUK. He was appointed as the director general of Intellect in March 2012 and led its transformation to techUK in November 2013. Julian has spent over 30 years in the technology industry mostly working for IBM in various roles including Vice President for Small and Medium Business in UK, Ireland, Netherlands and Africa and then for five years as Vice President for Public Sector in UK, Ireland and South Africa. After leaving IBM Julian worked as a consultant with companies large and small in the technology industry and then focused on helping SMEs establish successful operations in the UK primarily in the areas of local government and health. Julian leads techUKs 60 strong team in representing more than 800 member companies, including multi-nationals and more than 500 SMEs to ensure that the digital tech industry is at the heart of a modern society and economy in Britain. Julian is also the Vice President of the National Trade Associations at Digital Europe the association for digital technology companies in Europe and represents techUK at WITSA the World IT and Services Association.
